Let the Rotten Fruit Fall off the Tree

"By their fruit you will recognize them. Do people pick grapes from thornbushes, or figs from thistles?  Likewise, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit.  A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, and a bad tree cannot bear good fruit.  Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire.  Thus, by their fruit you will recognize them." Matthew 7:16-20

How many of us can be completely honest and admit to having some rotten fruit on their tree? *raises hand*.  This passage is not only describing false prophets, it's describing every Christian who talks the talk but does not walk the walk! I would speak on what thus said the Lord, but I was not living by His words. I still had some things and people to let go of. His word also says, "I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish you were either one or the other!  So, because you are lukewarm—neither hot nor cold—I am about to spit you out of my mouth" Revelation 3:15-16 NIV. I had to cry out to Him, because I don't ever want to live a life without Him! I had some self-reflecting to do, and to choose to completely surrender my life over to God!

I am nowhere near perfect, I am still flawed, but I thank God for choosing me. I thank God for saving me, and I thank Him for loving me though I am imperfect. I thank Him for His mercy and His grace! He's still working on me, shaping and molding me each day, and the process is not easy but I have Him to lean on. Being a daughter of a king means I must carry myself a certain way, I should uphold a standard, the way I walk and talk should be different. Paul told the people of Phillipi, "Whatever happens, conduct yourselves in a manner worthy of the gospel of Christ. Then, whether I come and see you or only hear about you in my absence, I will know that you stand firm in the one Spirit, striving together as one for the faith of the gospel" Philippians 1:27 NIV. He's giving me a platform and I have to use it to bring glory to His name!

If God has given you a platform for His kingdom, USE IT, His way! His word says, “You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden.  Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house.  In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven" Matthew 5:14-16 NIV. When you step in a room they should see the glory of the Lord shining all around you! Trust me, if God has called you to do something, do it, because it will be a fight you cannot and should not want to win! SURRENDER YOUR ALL! LET YOUR ACTIONS MATCH YOUR HEART FOR GOD! Let your tree bear ripe and sweet fruit, and be on fire for God! "Go, stand and speak in the temple to the people all the words of this life" Acts 5:20 KJV.
